Queen Margot – Blended Scotch Whisky, 40% Alc/vol 70 cl Colour…Light bright amber Nose…Fruit leads the way. Thorntons Special toffee, loads of vanilla, light oak. Taste…The fruit is now been drizzled with a little honey, more penny caramel toffee’s, hints of the barley, the oak is a bit more evident. Finish…Medium length finish, fruit and toffee lingers. Not a bad dram, ideal for some special Whisky cocktails. This blend at £10.99 is a very good buy, but the range of blends between £10.00 and £15.00 is quite large and it is up against some stiff opposition, but the Whisky Boys recommend that you pop out to your local Lidl and try this one or venture into the range of blends and single malts the stock.
